Firwood is Bolton’s provision for students aged 11 – 19 years with severe and profound learning difficulties. The school caters for a range of pupils including those with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) and autism.
The school is purpose built and we are co-located with Bolton St Catherine’s Academy. This allows pupils to access inclusion opportunities, where appropriate, also mix with their mainstream peers during lunchtimes.
